With 6,300 stores in 40 states and Washington, DC, CVS/pharmacy, the retail division of CVS Caremark, is America's largest retail pharmacy. CVS acquired 1,268 Eckerd stores as well as 700 Albertsons-owned drugstores in recent years, but transitioning those stores to the CVS brand is no small task. As soon as an acquisition is made, CVS takes quick action to reset, remodel and reopen stores for customers. To make that happen, they needed a smart system to coordinate delivery of racking, shelving, carts and material handling equipment to several hundred stores on short notice.

Koch Logistics effectively managed logistics for both the Eckerd and Albertsons conversions in less than a year per project, seeing CVS through approximately 2,000 store remodels and resets.
